Shiseido Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam
January 29th, 2010
Shiseido has gathered a loyal following over the years, selling exclusively through stores like Maceys, Barneys, and Nordstroms. They claim their Pureness Deep Cleansing Foam will “lift away impurities” such as germs, bacteria, oil, and make up with a “gentle, cooling feeling.” You can expect to find this product at $20 per bottle, which is a reasonable price, if that bottle lasts an entire month. But that is unlikely.
The ingredients include benzoic acid, peony root, and rosemary extract to name a few. Unfortunately, none of these are particularly proven or effective ingredients, and like many others such as Clinique, it seems Shiseido is marketed purely on the name. While names brands are nice and may impress some of your friends, your face and the results of the scrub will not. Most find that the best solutions are often found outside of department stores and at considerably affordable prices, despite what the common citizen may believe.
